Typically, a health certificate is required and is usually valid for 30 days. Health certificates require a current negative Coggins and an evaluation by a veterinarian in the last 30 days. Some states also have additional requirements. Please contact our office staff at least 1 week prior to your planned departure to make sure all requirements are met.
My horse appears injured/sick should I administer medications?
We recommend that you do not administer any medications to your horse unless specifically instructed to do so by a veterinarian.
Are you only a referral facility?
No for many of our clients we perform all of their horse care including more routine care such as vaccinations and dentistry to more advanced care such as lameness work ups and elective surgical procedures. However, we are happy to provide you with whatever services you are interested in whether that be only for more advanced services or on a referral basis by your regular veterinarian.
